Proposed Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2027

The Board of Trustees of the Riverside Community Library will hold a public hearing on the proposed operating budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2027. All residents are invited to attend and share comments.

Summary of the proposed budget

The proposed budget totals $4,812,000, an increase of 2.1 percent over the current year. The increase covers higher costs for digital materials, the second phase of the HVAC replacement at the Eastside Branch, and expanded Sunday hours at the Main Library.

The proposed budget does not include any change to the library's property tax levy.

How to comment

You may speak at the hearing. Each speaker will have up to three minutes. You may also submit written comments before 5 p.m. on November 11, 2026, by mail or in person to: Board Secretary, Riverside Community Library, 210 Elm Street, Riverside, ST 00000.

Copies of the full proposed budget are available at the circulation desk of every library location during open hours.
